Kappa Phi Delta
At Illinois Tech since 1904
Welcome
On November 16, 1904, five women from Lewis Institute in Chicago, Illinois decided to establish a sorority based on the bond of friendship that had grown between them during their years together in High School and in college. The letters Kappa Phi Delta stand for Kale Philia Dunimus, which translates to Noble Friendship is Power.

Now, 114 years later, Kappa Phi Delta still continues to create and foster bonds of long-lasting and powerful friendships between women from a variety of backgrounds, of different races and religions, and from different parts of the world.
